A truck driver escaped injury Monday after rolling his truck in southern Riley County.

According to the Riley County Police Department, officers responded to a crash just after 4:30 p.m. Monday in the 2100 block of Deep Creek Road. Arriving officers found a Wanklyn Oil Company propane truck had rolled into the ditch. The driver, 60-year-old Lee Shoemaker, of St. George was not seriously hurt.

According to dispatch there was no fire reported from the rollover, but some propane was spilled, though officials said it wasn’t a lot.

Police had to reroute traffic around the crash Monday, but reopened the road later that evening.
