Manhattan, KS – For the seventh time in her career and third time this season, K-State center Ayoka Lee has been named the Big 12 Conference co-Player of the Week. Lee shared this week’s honor with Texas’ Madison Booker.

Lee joins Nicole Ohlde (7) and Kendra Wecker (7) for the K-State record for most Big 12 Player of the Week honors. When including her Big 12 record 12 Freshman of the Week recognitions from the 2019-20 season, Lee has received 19 Big 12 weekly honors during her K-State career.

For the week, Lee averaged 19.5 points on a .708 field goal percentage, 8.5 rebounds, 4.5 blocks, 1.5 steals and 0.5 assists in 29.0 minutes per game. She led the league in blocks per game, was second in scoring, third in field goal percentage and fifth in rebounding.

Against Houston on Jan. 3, Lee registered the 54th double-double of her career to tie for fifth in Big 12 history for career double-doubles. She finished with 27 points on 11-of-15 shooting, 11 rebounds including a season-high eight offensive rebounds, two blocked shots, two steals and an assist.

At UCF, Lee tallied 12 points on 6-of-9 shooting, six rebounds, seven blocks and a steal. Lee’s seven blocks were the most in a Big 12 game this season and the most in a conference game by a Wildcat since Lee blocked seven shots at Kansas on Feb. 13, 2021. This was Lee’s 18th career game with five or more blocked shots.

This season, Lee is averaging 19.8 points on a career-high .679 field goal percentage, 8.2 rebounds and 2.5 blocks per game in 24.9 minutes per game. She ranks third in the nation in field goals made (133), fifth in the nation in field goal percentage, ninth in the nation for total blocks (40) and 10th in the country for total points scored (316).

K-State begins a two-game home stand on Wednesday, as the Wildcats host Oklahoma at 6 p.m. Wednesday’s game is MHK Night. For tickets, call (800) 221-CATS or visit kstatesports.com/tickets.
