The Manhattan Fire Department were dispatched late on Monday night to an apartment fire near the K-State campus.
Crews responded to the 1200 block of Kearney Street just after 11 p.m. to find smoke and fire upon entering apartment 4.
Crews then found a small stove fire and were able to extinguish it shortly there after. A total of 18 firefighters responded on six fire apparatus with the last units clearing at around 1 a.m.
Total loss from the fire is $11,000, with $10,000 of the damage coming to the structure. No injuries or fatalities were reported.
