JUNCTION CITY — If you ask the Manhattan High football seniors what it’s like to not have the Silver Trophy in its trophy case, they won’t have an answer for you.

The Indians (4-0) went into a hostile Junction City environment and took care of business, winning its fourth straight Silver Trophy matchup, 52-0.

“It means a lot to win the silver trophy, and these kids deserved it,” head coach Joe Schartz said. “They worked hard and and it was a fun time for sure.”

It was the 109th meeting between the two Centennial League foes. Manhattan’s victory over the Blue Jays moved its lead in the all-time series to 68-37-4.
