Police released more details Tuesday about a man arrested Friday after a high-speed chase.

Prior to the chase, police said, 23-year-old Andrew Franklin of Manhattan went on a crime spree that involved stealing from two stores and taking a gun and car from a woman’s home.

On Thursday at 11:24 p.m. officers responded to a report of a business alarm activation at Dick’s Sporting Goods in the 401 Third Place in Manhattan. Officers reported a shattered window in the front of the business.
