A K-State professor is suing the university because she said her supervisor discriminated against her because of a disability.

Rebecca Hackemann-Bahlmann, professor of photography, filed a lawsuit last month in federal court. She alleges discrimination on the basis of disability, retaliation for engaging in a protected activity, interfering with the exercise of legal rights under the Family and Medical Leave Act, and retaliation for the exercise of legal rights under FMLA.

Hackmann-Bahlmann said in the complaint that she suffers from carpometacarpal capsulitis, entrapment neuropathies and other issues affecting her wrists and hands.
