by Mason Voth • EMAWOnline – Managing Editor – @TheRealMasonV After losing a handful of players at the conclusion of spring practice this year, Chris Klieman and the K-State football team added a late member to the class of 2023. JUCO defensive back Daniel Cobbs committed on his visit to K-State on Friday evening. Cobbs comes from Tyler Junior College, where he played one season after completing his high school football at Fossil Ridge in Keller, Texas. Cobbs becomes the latest member from Tyler to come to K-State, as last season the Wildcats added Kobe Savage, Justice Clemons and Gavin Forsha (since entered the portal) from the…

by Mason Voth • EMAWOnline – Managing Editor – @TheRealMasonV Spring football is almost a month in the past and now the Wildcats have their focus back on filling out the 2023 roster with some late additions and building the 2024 and 2025 classes. With that in mind, I figured now was a good time to give a refresher of what the depth chart might look like come the season opener on September 2nd against SEMO. Each piece will focus on one position group and by the end of the series, we should have a full projected depth chart in place.…

It isn’t every year the Cats win the Big 12 in football, it’s not every year that the basketball team goes to the Elite Eight and both certainly don’t happen in the same season all that often. Each run provided big games, major moments, and performances that the kids would describe as “I’m him.” Essentially, this is a list…

With one of four open scholarships accounted for, the Wildcats will now dial in their recruiting efforts on filling out the final three spots. TYLOR PERRY’S ROLE FOR K-STATE Perry is coming to K-State to be the Wildcats’ lead guard and take over the role that Markquis Nowell played in 2023. Perry will certainly be able to slide into the scoring role that Nowell had, and he may produce…

by Mason Voth • EMAWOnline – Managing Editor – @TheRealMasonV K-State added their first transfer portal addition for the 2023-2024 season in North Texas guard Tylor Perry. The Wildcats had an early interest in Perry when he entered the portal, with my sources telling me from start to finish in the process that he was going to end up in Manhattan. Perry kept his involvement with K-State pretty quiet until the last week when he named them a part of his top four and publicly announced his arrival for his visit last Monday night. Perry started his college basketball career at Coffeyville…

Vaughn is drafted by his hometown team, continuing the trend of K-Staters to go to their hometown teams in the 2023 Draft. Vaughn’s dad, Chris, is a scout for the Cowboys as well. Vaughn came to K-State as a freshman in 2020 and quickly took control of the starting running back job for the Wildcats. By 2021 Vaughn became one of the biggest sensations in college football, ripping through defenses…

Originally from Lakeland, Florida, Hayes’ hometown is just 40 minutes from Raymond James Stadium, making all three Wildcat selections in 2023 “hometown” picks. Hayes played his final season of college football at K-State after spending time at North Dakota State and Virginia. While playing in the K-State secondary, Hayes made 71 tackles and 5.5 for loss. After missing K-State’s season opener against South…

by Mason Voth • EMAWOnline – Managing Editor – @TheRealMasonV After losing nine players to the transfer portal in the first window of the season, K-State had made it over a week past their final spring practice before they had their next defection. Offensive lineman Jalen Klemm entered the portal on Friday, making him the 10th Wildcat to exit the roster since last season, via the portal. Klemm came from Pennsylvania where he was the highest-rated member of K-State’s 2022 recruiting class. Klemm redshirted in 2022 and didn’t see time in 2023. His transfer recruitment will come with a decent amount of suitors…
