Timothy Ayers Jr., the Fort Riley man convicted of rape and aggravated indecent liberties with a child in August of 2014 was sentenced in Riley County District Court Thursday. Timothy Ayers Jr. apologized to the court and his family for the harm he had caused before his sentence was read off by Judge David Stutzman. Factors going into Ayers’ sentencing was his small criminal background, which included a DUI in 1999 followed by an attempted burglary. Officers with the Riley County Police Department arrested Severiano Berriozbal, 34, of Manhattan on Wednesday – while in the block of 2500 Farm Bureau Road in Manhattan.
