Sophomore wide receiver Judah Jones has transferred from Kansas State to Stephen F. Austin. After redshirting in 2013, Jones appeared in 10 games last season for the Wildcats. Jones caught four passes for 51 yards and carried the ball twice for 24 yards. He was also a second team academic All Big 12 selection. A native of Shreveport, Louisiana, Jones becomes the fourth transfer to join SFA since February, he’ll have three years of eligibility remaining.

The Manhattan City Commission examined the potential increase in 2016 capital improvement spending as budget negotiations continued Tuesday at City Hall. As it stands, General Fund CIP spending in 2016 is over $900 thousand, which is a considerable increase from roughly $186 thousand in 2015. A Kansas man is charged in an eighteen-count indictment unsealed today with removing, altering or obliterating manufacturer’s serial numbers, causing other individuals to make straw purchases of firearms and exporting firearms overseas, U.S. Attorney Barry Grissom said.
