Police in Connecticut say two children were found dead in a home that was filled with natural gas. Their mother was found alive. Investigators questioned her but they haven’t said if she’ll be charged.

A trip to Colorado to visit his daughter was one of the reasons local developer Tim Schultz to put forward a plan to develop parkland near Lee Mill Heights. On Tuesday night the Manhattan city commission decided to move ahead with the first reading of an ordinance to annex nearly 100 acres to develop a small 20 acre single family subdivision. The remaining 72.82 acres would be set aside for city parkland. Over 450 young men from across the state are taking part in the American Legion Boys State of Kansas Leadership Academy, being held at Kansas State University. The ALBSKLA is an interactive simulation, aiming to teach high school seniors to be the value of democracy and civic duty.
