Riley County Police Officers are responding to a report of a hit-and-run accident that left one teenaged pedestrian with injuries. Around 7:30 a.m. Friday, RCPD officers investigated the hit-and-run that occurred near Lee St. and Anderson S.t in Manhattan. The 16-year-old male pedestrian is being treated at Via Christi Hospital for his injuries. Anyone with information regarding the incident is encouraged to contact crime stopper.

A Geary County man was taken to a local hospital following an injury accident in Jefferson on Thursday morning. Geary County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 1600 block of Cannon View Drive at approximately 7 a.m. after reports came in of a single-vehicle accident. Kieshawn Nolan of Grandview Plaza was traveling northeast on Cannon View in his 2018 Ford Escape when he swerved to avoid a deer and ran off the road and struck a tree. Irwin was transported to Irwin Hospital by EMS for non-life threatening injuries and his vehicle was removed from the scene.
On October 23, 2024, officers responded to an incident in Ogden, KS. A 23-year-old woman reported that Jordan Bronaugh, a 22-year-old male known to her, physically assaulted her and threatened her with a firearm. Bronaugh was arrested on charges of aggravated battery, aggravated assault, criminal threat, and domestic battery. He remains in custody at the Riley County Jail with a bond set at $30,000.
