Local authorities are looking for a missing Onaga man. According to Onaga Police Chief Dan Costlow, 67-year old Melvin Potter of Onaga went missing at around 10 a.m. on Friday, March 14. Costlow reports that Potter left his home to run an errand and never returned. Potter is described as a white male with thinning grey hair, last seen wearing blue jeans and a red flannel shirt that had brown patches on the elbows. More than 100 people showed up for a Town Hall in Manhattan, hosted by First District U-S Congressman Tim Huelskamp of Kansas. Riley County Commissioners viewed plans and outlines for two potential projects during Monday’s commission meeting.  Public Works Director for the City of Manhattan, Rob Ott presented both agenda items. Ott first briefed the commission on the Manhattan Regional Airport upgrade plans.  He shared maps of the land, and what needs to be done to the area.  A three lane intersection near Skyway Drive, curb and gutter improvements and storm/sewer adjustments were some of the items discussed. “We are looking at $200,000 of storm/sewer improvements if we don’t improve Airport Road”, Ott commented.
