It’s that time of year again, and the tax center on Fort Riley will be open for military affiliated personnel on January 22nd at nine a.m.  The center will be located at building 7034 on Normandy drive. OIC Captain Sarah Green says the center will be open from nine a.m. to six p.m. Monday through Friday, and nine a.m. to one p.m. on Saturday.  Some of documents needed for processing include a social security card, driver’s license, and if possibe the previous year’s tax return. KANSAS CITY, Kan. (AP) Emergency crews have responded to a gasoline leak at a fuel distribution terminal in Kansas City, Kan. The Kansas City Star reports the gasoline spilled Sunday at the Magellan Midstream Partners petroleum terminal. No injuries were reported. Magellan spokesman Bruce Heine in Tulsa, Okla., says the spilled gasoline is being controlled in a containment area at the facility. He says the company reported a loss of 100 barrels of gasoline but that figure could change. The fuel leak occurred at a valve connected to an above-ground storage tank. TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) The former head of the housing authority in a small Kansas town has admitted stealing nearly $7,700 in federal funds. The U.S. Attorney’s office says Debra L. Savage (53), of Linn, pleaded guilty Friday to one count of theft from a federal program. Savage was the executive director of the housing authority in Linn, a north-central Kansas town of about 400 people in Washington County. In her plea, she admitted using a housing authority credit card for personal expenses of nearly $7,700 between December 2009 and December 2012. Savage faces maximum penalties of 10 years in prison…
