A Grandview Plaza man was arrested on Tuesday afternoon in Manhattan for drug distribution. 39-year-old Curtis James Colley Jr. was arrested on one count of distribution of marijuana less than 450 grams, one count of distributing an opiate or narcotic less than 100 grams, one count of possession of a controlled substance with intent to manufacture, plant or cultivate and a possession of an illegal substance. According to the Kansas Department of Corrections, Colley has a lengthy criminal history that includes convictions for aggravated burglary, aggravated intimidation of a witness and for making a criminal threat. Manhattan city officials Tuesday gave an update on how public works crews have navigated the frigid and slick conditions this past week. City manager Ron Fehr: Mayor Wynn Butler says also at play this week has been a delay of trash service to most residents. Local snow removal fleets do not have large numbers so they must focus on main roads and hills first. Cody Whitmore, 21, of Manhattan, was arrested while in the 1000 block of South Seth Child Road on January 15, 2024 around 1:35 PM. After suffering their first conference loss by a single point Saturday on the road, the K-State men are back in Manhattan to face ninth-ranked Baylor.
