The 11th-year Kansas State women’s basketball coach said he’s seen some fans speculating on social media about what it is he pops into his mouth every few minutes during games, perhaps suggesting he’s a compulsive snacker. A project to replace bridge MCR56, located between Sunflower Road and Trails End Road on Havensville Road in the northeastern part of Pottawatomie County, will begin on Thursday, Jan. 30. The bridge was damaged during a vehicle accident that occurred in Apr. 2023. The road has been open to one lane of traffic since the accident. The road will be completely closed to through traffic, no detour will be marked, and a shoo fly detour will not be constructed. According to the Flint Hills Association of Realtors, there were 103 home sales averaging $284,742 in the Manhattan-Junction City Combined Statistical Area in December after there were 128 sales averaging $282,561 in November. The number of December sales was equal to that of December 2023 in Riley, Pottawatomie and Geary counties. Ninety-three of the units sold in December were existing homes, a 4.1% from the 97 existing homes sold in December 2023.
