The following summary of calls for service/reports filed by the Riley County Police Department is a portion of those received by police.  Some names, addresses, and case details are withheld to follow local, state, and federal law as well as in an attempt to protect community members from being victimized further.  Those arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

MANHATTAN, KAN. – 

Officers filed a report for theft in the 800 block of Walters Dr. in Manhattan on January 20, 2021, at approximately 3:08 p.m. Officers listed a 38-year-old female as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect stole a Samsung S20 cellphone. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $800.00. Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Using the Crime Stoppers service can allow you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.00.

Officers filed a report for theft in the 700 block of S. 6th St. in Manhattan on January 20, 2021, at approximately 3:21 p.m. Officers listed a 70-year-old male as the victim when it was reported a 38-year-old male suspect stole his 1995 GMC Sierra. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $500.00.

Officers filed a report for theft in the 200 block of Sixteenth St. in Ogden on January 20, 2021, at approximately 8:38 p.m. Officers listed a 54-year-old male as the victim when it was reported a 42-year-old male suspect stole his Glock 22 firearm. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $680.00.

Officers filed a report for burglary in the 1400 block of Watson Pl. in Manhattan on January 20, 2021, at approximately 11:50 p.m. Officers listed an 18-year-old male as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect entered his residence and stole a Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch games, an air mattress, a hammock, a silver analog watch, and medication.
