The following summary of calls for service/reports filed by the Riley County Police Department is a portion of those received by police.  Some names, addresses, and case details are withheld to follow local, state, and federal law as well as in an attempt to protect community members from being victimized further.  Those arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

MANHATTAN, KAN. –

Officers filed a report for theft and criminal trespass in the 200 block of S. Seth Child Rd. in Manhattan on October 14, 2020, at approximately 7:47 a.m. Officers listed a 51-year-old female and Evergy as the victims when it was reported an unknown suspect stole three rolls of copper and a 2005 Pontiac Vibe. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $3,785.00. Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Officers filed a report for theft and computer unlawful acts in the 2500 block of Dipper Ln. in Manhattan on October 14, 2020, at approximately 10:01 a.m. Officers listed a 48-year-old female as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect transferred money using her PayPal account. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $1,900.00. Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Officers filed a report for criminal damage to property in the 2200 block of College Ave. in Manhattan on October 14, 2020, at approximately 2:14 p.m. Officers listed a 59-year-old male and 1st Choice Security LLC as the victims when it was reported a 31-year-old male suspect damaged a vehicle. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $500.00.
