    Update: Bond set at $1 million for Wamego murder suspect

    According to a release from Pottawatomie County Sheriff Greg Riat, Cody Lamia-Beck’s bond was set at $1 million.

    The Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a 23 year old suspect in connection with the death of 19-year-old Jacob Bouck, according to a Thursday release.

    Cody Lamia-Beck of Wamego was arrested Wednesday under suspicion of 2nd degree murder by Pott County detectives following an investigation aided by the KBI and surrounding agencies. Bouck, also of Wamego, was found dead on the Kansas River about a mile west of Wamego on Christmas Eve in 2018.

    Lamia-Beck is being held in Pottawatomie County Jail in Westmoreland, his bond has not been set at the time of this report.

    The investigation is still on-going and anyone with information pertinent to the crime is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 785-457-3353 or leave a tip at ptsheriff.com.
