Matthys Named Freshman All-American Again

Big 12 freshman of the year Jake Matthys has been named a freshman all-American for the second time.  Baseball America tabbed Matthys to their second team, after he was named a Louisville Slugger freshman all-American by Collegiate Baseball.  The K-State record holder for wins and saves by a freshman, was also named first team all-Big 12, and to the all-Big 12 freshman team.  Matthys is a product of Spring Lake Park, MN., and finished his rookie campaign with a 9-2 record and a stellar 2.05 ERA to go along with nine saves.
