Officials of the National Merit Scholarship Corporation recently announced that two Manhattan High School students were named Semifinalists in the National Merit Scholarship Program – Sophia Harms and Austin Canady.
There are approximately 16,000 Semifinalists in the 58th annual National Merit Scholarship Program from across the country. These high school seniors have an opportunity to continue in the competition for 8,300 National Merit Scholarships, worth more than $34 million, that will be offered next spring.
