LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) The family of a Lecompton man who died in a 2009 motorcycle accident is suing the driver involved in the crash.
Relatives of 21-year-old Jason P. Kenney sued Karissa A. Pinegar of Lawrence. She was driving a car that collided with a motorcycle on the Kansas Turnpike near Lecompton on Nov. 6, 2009. Kenney was a passenger on the motorcycle.
The Lawrence Journal-World reports that a highway patrol says Pinegar was trying to turn when her car collided with the motorcycle. Kenney died days after the accident.
No hearings had been scheduled in the case.
