    Update on Geary County shooting

By KMAN Staff on May 14, 2012 Local News

A man injured in an officer-related shooting early Sunday in Geary County has been identified.  Stefon Butler, 25, of Junction City was shot during an incident at Club Eve in Junction City. He is listed in stable condition at Stormont Vail in Topeka.

Geary County Undersheriff Tony Wolf indicates once the Kansas Bureau of Investigation finishes its investigation, the case will be presented to the County Attorney for review.

As previously reported on KMAN, the shooting was reported at two Sunday morning as the club was closing. Butler allegedly produced a firearm in an aggressive manner and was shot by a Geary county sheriff’s deputy. That individual has not been identified.

Butler was airlifted by Life Star to Stormont Vail, with injuries originally reported to be very serious.
