    Muff leads ‘Cats past Denver

    Alex Muff pounded out 11 kills to go with 4 blocks and K-State swept Denver, 25-16, 25-15, 25-19 in the opening match of the Bluejay Invitational at Creighton University in Omaha.  K-State pulled away from a 10-all tie in the first set with the Pioneers to score 15 of the final 21 points of the set.  Denver was kept at a distance by the Cats for the remainder of the match.  Lilla Porubek and Kaitlynn Pelger each added eight kills to help pace K-State (4-0).  Caitlyn Donahue had 37 assists as the Cats hit .293 as a team, and Kuulei Kabalis dug 14 balls.  Colleen King led Denver (2-2) with 9 kills.

    The Wildcats will play host Creighton at noon on Saturday in the Bluejay Invitational in Omaha, NE.  Pregame coverage begins at 11:30am on SportsRadio 1350 KMAN.  Coverage will also be available online at 1350KMAN.com or kstatesports.com.
