    Riley County Police update

    A couple of Riley county police arrests of note were reported this past weekend.

    Anthony Leon Williams Jr.. 24,  of Junction City was taken into custody Friday evening on two failure to appear charges, with total bond set at 85-thousand dollars.

    RCPD Captain Kurt Moldrup reports Williams warrants were from Riley county district court on June 25th and 26th, with original chrages involving drug-related violations.

    And Joshua Moritz, 21,  of Manhattan faces a failure to appear warrant out of Leavenworth county and is confined on no bond. Mortiz was taken into custody early Saturday morning in the 900 block of Mission Avenue . The original charges were aggravated assault and criminal damage to property.

    Riley County police are investigating an alleged rape involving a 12 year old male, reportedly occurring three years ago in northern Riley county.

    RCPD Captain Kurt Moldrup indicated Monday morning the rape was reported the end of last week.

    The male suspect is known to the victim.

    Further details were not available.
