By KMAN Staff on December 14, 2012 K-State Sports

The Football Writers Association of America released their all-American team on Friday morning, and K-State linebacker Arthur Brown was named to the first team.  Brown joins Georgia’s Jarvis Jones and Notre Dame’s Manti Te’o as first team linebacker.  The senior from Wichita was also named a second team all-American linebacker by the Associated Press and Walter Camp.  Brown also was named the Big 12 defensive player of the year by the league’s coaches as he had 91 tackles this season for K-State, including six for loss.  He picked off two passes, plus had a sack and a fumble recovery.

#5 K-State will battle #4 Oregon in less than three weeks on Thursday, January 3rd in the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.  Kickoff will be at 7:30pm.  Our Powercat Gameday headquarters will be at the Tilted Kilt in downtown Phoenix from January 1st-3rd on SportsRadio 1350 KMAN.  For more information, go to powercatgameday.com.
