    Four Area HS Golfers Place in Top 10 at State

    – The Manhattan High boys golf team finished 3rd at the 6A state meet, led by Cole Dillon in 6th place individually with a 4 over par 76 at Topeka Country Club.  Shawnee Mission East won the meet with a 300, Washburn Rural was second with a 308, with the Tribe carding a 313.
    – Both Wamego golfers at Firekeeper Golf Course finished in the top 10 of the 4A state meet.  Ryan Elder turned in a 2 over par 74, good for fourth place, and Parker Waters had a 76 as he came in 9th place.
    – Riley County’s John Burnett shot a 74 to take fourth in the Sand Greens state tournament hosted by the Falcons at Leonardville Golf Course.
    – Frankfort’s Brett Kenworthy came in 52nd place in 1A with a 107 at Southwind Country Club in Garden City.
