    A Manhattan man originally reported as a victim now finds himself in trouble with the law.
     
    The Riley County Police Department reported Wednesday that Gerald Lucking, 24, became the victim of battery Tuesday afternoon, after being shot with a pellet/BB gun in the foot near the intersection of N. Juliette Ave and Laramie Street. Police were then looking for information on a darker color early 2000 SUV with several passengers who may have perpetrated the crime.
     
    Lucking did seek medical treatment.
     
    But Wednesday afternoon, after further investigation into the matter, police were able to discover what actually happened during the time of injury finding Lucking had shot himself in the foot.. Police then arrested Lucking for interference with law enforcement.
     
    Lucking’s bond was set at $2,000.

    A Manhattan man was arrested Wednesday night on a probation violation warrant. Charles Smith, 41, was taken into custody in the 2200 block of Tuttle Creek Blvd. at approximately 9:40 PM.
     
    Smith arrest was on a warrant for probation violation with an original offense of domestic battery. During his arrest officers found evidence of other crimes and he was then also arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of opiates, opium, or narcotic drugs.
     
    Smith’s bond was set at $5,500.
