    RCPD Activity 2/17/16

    Officers with the Riley County Police Department arrested Brian Havens, 36, of Wamego, Kansas on two warrants with the offense of probation violation (original offenses included forgery and aggravated endangering of a child as well as violation of a protective order). Havens was arrested in the 100 block of S. 4th Street in Manhattan at approximately 8:15 AM on February 16, 2016. He was given a bond of $7,000.00 and at the time of this report was no longer confined at the Riley County Jail.


     

    Detectives with the Riley County Police Department filed a report for rape which occurred approximately one year ago in Riley County. This investigation involves a female victim (19 years of age at the time of this report) and a male suspect (21 years of age at the time of this report) who were known to each other. Detectives found that this crime occurred when the male suspect digitally penitrated the female victim while it was unwanted. Due to the nature of this crime no further information has been released and RCPD continues to investigate the matter.
