A Scott City man is jailed in Riley County on charges of alleged child sex crimes.

The Riley County Police Department says 21-year-old Jessie Ivey was arrested Wednesday afternoon on a Sumner County warrant alleging single counts of rape and aggravated indecent liberties with a child under the age of 14. An official with the Sumner County Attorney’s Office tells KMAN the victim reported the incident to law enforcement on July 8.

According to Thursday’s arrest report, Ivey was arrested in the 1700 block of Wreath Ave. His Facebook page indicates he’s employed as a ride operator for Weee Entertainment, the contractor that provides rides and entertainment for the Riley County Fair, a position he’s held since 2019.

Ivey remains jailed on a $100,000 bond.
