Officers filed a report for theft by deception in the 3800 block of Marlatt Ave. in Manhattan on November 30, 2022, around 2:00 p.m. A 51-year-old man was listed as the victim when he reported he was scammed by a fake Metallica YouTube channel into transferring approximately $25,500 of Bitcoin to an unknown suspect. Officers filed a report for theft by deception in the 2900 block of Princeton Pl. in Manhattan on November 30, 2022, around 8:00 p.m. Community First Bank and a 50-year-old woman were listed as the victims when she reported she was called by an unknown suspect claiming to be a “Captain Kyle Poser” who told her she had a jury duty warrant and needed to pay him $800 in Walmart gift cards to settle the warrant which she did.
