A recent K-State graduate hopes to bring his youthful perspective to the USD 383 school board.

On Monday, Nolan Foth (foe-th) filed for a seat on the board this November. In an email to KMAN, Foth said Tuesday he is currently working on a doctorate in physics and has a wide range of work experiences, from his grandparents family farm to work in HR at a regional bank and as a shift lead for a local restaurant.

The Salina native says he’s extremely passionate about education and wants to funnel that passion into a productive channel, noting his recent engagement and plans to start a family in the area.

Six candidates have filed for the USD 383 school board, which has four seats up for grabs this November. The filing deadline is June 1.
