The Riley County Police Department announced the hiring of a new PIO on Monday.
Ashley Tokoi will be the new Public Information Officer for the department, working for the department’s five divisions. Tokoi replaces Aaron Wintermote, who left the department on Sept. 22.
Prior to working for RCPD, Tokoi was a Public Affairs Specialist for the United States Department of Agriculture where she played a pivotal role in shaping the organization’s public image and communication efforts.
Tokoi was introduced by Director Brian Peete at Monday’s law board meeting.
