Manhattan Brewing Company is expanding its reach across the state

The local brewery announced Wednesday it will open an additional permanent location in Wichita later this month.

Under the name MBC Lounge, the new location is set to start business Aug. 23 at 117 North Handley Street in the Delano District of Wichita. It will be open on the weekends, including from 5 to 10 p.m. on Fridays, noon to 10 p.m. on Saturdays and noon to 8 p.m. on Sundays. Monday through Thursday, it will be open for private events after 6 p.m.

MBC Lounge will have a taproom and lounge with more than 10 beers, margaritas, sangria, cocktails and more.

Manhattan Brewing Company already has multiple pop-up events at its new location in Wichita.

According to the Wichita Eagle, the Slape & Howard law firm owns the building at 117 North Handley Street and operates the bar area as a lobby and event space called the SkyLounge Event Venue. The firm — where Manhattan Brewing Company co-owner Jake Voegeli’s brother is a partner — will allow the brewery to take over its bar area.

Manhattan Brewing Company opened its location in the Little Apple at 406 Poyntz Avenue in 2020.
