Kaitlynn Pelger notched a career high 24 kills as K-State pulled out a five set victory over Creighton on Tuesday night in front of nearly 3,000 fans at Ahearn Fieldhouse.  The Cats prevailed, 21-25, 25-16, 25-23, 17-25, and 15-13, scoring the final four points of the match to win.  Pelger was one block away from K-State’s first triple-double in seven years, she had 13 digs and 9 blocks.  Lilla Porubek added 15 kills.  Sophomore Courtney Traxson got her first start of the year, and registered 7 kills.

The Cats will host the Varney’s K-State Invitational this weekend with Georgia Southern, Idaho, and BYU in the field.  The Cats open play in their home tournament on Friday afternoon at 12:30pm against Georgia Southern at Ahearn Fieldhouse.
