    After a Manhattan man’s motorcycle lost control, his injuries required him to be transported by Lifestar.

    At 1:15 p.m. on Sunday, a motorcycle accident occured on the 5400 block of Eureka Drive, just 700 feet east of Airport Road.

    Torrey Lindsay (28)  suffered severe road rash and head trauma.  His injuries were listed as ‘serious’ and he was transported by Lifestar to Topeka where he is being treated.

    The motorcycle was reported to have lost control and speed is believed to have been a major factor in this accident.

    A motorcycle accident in Northern Riley County lands a Wamego man with not just injuries, but also a citation.

    Kendall Poe (20) was driving his motorcycle on Tuttle Cove Road and Stony Brook Drive around 8:20 p.m. on Friday, when he laid his motorcycle down, causing road rash on his back and right side.

    Poe was cited for ‘basic speed rule’ and was transferred to Mercy Regional Health where he was treated and released.

    A robbery at a Manhattan hotel leaves one woman shook up.

    Around 12:30 a.m. Monday morning, April Stone (31), reported to Riley County Police that her business, America’s Best Value Inn, had been robbed.

    Stone was held at gunpoint by two males with covered faces and handguns.  An undisclosed amount of cash was taken  from the front desk.

    There are no suspects at the present time.

    Riley County police reported Monday that an incident of rape took place in Riley County sometime between the 15th and 16th of July.

    Angel Kendrick (22) of Manhattan was charged with a $50,000 warrant for rape after felonlessly and knowingly having sexual intercourse with a person who claims there was no consent.  The person also claimed they were under the influence of liquor .
