Two people were injured in an ATV accident in the Pillsbury Crossing area Monday. Riley County Police announced Tuesday morning that at approximately 6:10 PM Monday the Riley County Police Department responded to the accident in the 3900 block of Pillsbury Crossing Road.
Police indicate the driver, Kenny Malone, 29, and his passenger, Rachel Haring, 23, both of Manhattan were traveling east in the roadway on a 2008 Kawasaki ATV. Malone reportedly lost control of the ATV, which then left the roadway and rolled. This vehicle and its passengers next collided with a barb-wire fence creating injury and damage.
Both riders were transported to Mercy Regional Health Center for medical treatment. A Mercy Spokeswoman indicates Haring is in fair condition (Tuesday) and Malone’s information was not available..
An investigation into DUI and aggravated battery has been initiated in order to determine if alcohol was a factor. There have been no arrests made or citations issued at the time of this report.

Emergency crews responded to the 6400 block of Stockdale Park Road for a single vehicle collision Monday morning, involving a 2005 Honda motorcycle and a single rider. Corey Wilcox, 37, whose address was unknown at the time of this report, was transported to Mercy Regional Health Center for non-life threatening injury after he lost control of his motorcycle and slid off of the road while on its side. Wilcox is not listed as a patient there (Tuesday).
No citations have been issued at the time of this report regarding this accident. This accident occured at approximately 10:15 AM Monday.

A report for aggravated burglary was filed with Riley County Police Monday, regarding an incident that occurred during the night hours of May 24th into May 25th. Gabriel Iller, 27, of Ogden reported U-S currency in the amount of approximately $700 was taken from a lockbox in his possession.
This took place in the 300 block of Walnut in Ogden after an unknown subject or subjects pried open a bedroom window and entered Iller’s home.

Riley County Police reported Tuesday a report for theft was filed Friday in the 400 block of 7th Street in Ogden. This crime occurred between Thursday and Friday of last week when Monty Neidenthal, 63, of Ogden reported that an unknown subject(s) illegally took possession of his 2005 Yamaha ATV, 1989 Honda ATV, ATV attachment (brush mower), and blade.
The total estimated loss is approximately $8,000. Currently no arrests have been made, however officers continue to investigate.

Riley County Police are investigating a couple criminal damage to property cases, one which was filed Saturday for an incident that occurred between the 23rd and 24th of this month. Melody Cole, 35, of Manhattan reported an unknown subject or subjects removed a piece of her vehicle door and then used that piece to create damage to the door. The vehicle was parked at her home at the time of this crime. The total estimated loss is $1,000 and currently no arrests have been made or citations issued.
And Sunday at approximately 12:20 PM, the Riley County Police Department filed a report for criminal damage to property after Ashley Tonn, 23, of Manhattan reported the paint on her driver’s side door of a 2004 Ford F-150 was scratched. The total estimated loss is $1,200 and currently suspects are unknown.

An unusual arson case was reported to Riley County Police this past long holiday weekend. The incident occurred in the 2300 block of Buckner Drive in Manhattan on Sunday at approximately 10:50 PM.
The incident involved a “Porta Potty” owned by Frankfort Porta Potty of Frankfort. Damage of $100 was created after fireworks were placed in the porta potty. Those with information about this crime, are asked to contact the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers.

A sexual battery report was filed Tuesday at approximately 2:30 AM for an incident that occurred earlier in the morning.
The victim in this case is identified as an 18-year-old female who reported that a supervisor at her place of employment touched her chest inappropriately. The suspect in this case, a male of unknown age, is also accused of making sexually explicit comments toward the victim.
This crime reportedly occurred in the city limits of Manhattan and due to its nature no further information has been released.
