Three teams ranked in the top five of the AP poll went down on Saturday for the first time since 2008, and K-State was among the beneficiaries.  The Cats claimed the Sunflower Showdown on Saturday with a 56-16 rout of in-state rival Kansas, and rose one spot to #6 this week.  Alabama and Oregon remain ranked #1-2 in the AP poll, while  South Carolina, Florida, and West Virginia round out the top five.  The Mountaineers are now the highest ranked Big 12 team following their 48-45 victory on the road at then #11 Texas.  Oklahoma is ranked #13 heading into the Red River Rivalry game with the #15 Longhorns in Dallas this week.  TCU dropped out of this week’s poll following a 37-23 loss to Iowa State.   Baylor, the Cyclones and Horned Frogs have received the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th most votes among those not in the top 25.
