Senior Kathleen Ludwig killed 15 balls as K-State won their 20th game of the season by defeating Baylor 25-16, 25-20, 23-25, and 25-17 on Saturday night at Ahearn Fieldhouse.  Kaitlynn Pelger added 12 kills and Alex Muff posted 10 as the Cats swept the season series from the Bears, winning both matches in four sets.  K-State nearly won the match in straight sets as they held a 15-8 lead in the third set, but Baylor scored the next eight points.  The Cats again went up 23-20, but the Bears scored the final five points to force a fourth set.  Caitlyn Donahue led the K-State offense with 51 assists, and Kuulei Kabalis had 16 digs.  Baylor (16-9, 3-7 Big 12) was led by 12 kills from Zoe Adom.

K-State (20-3, 7-3 Big 12) will play their next match on Friday night at undefeated Big 12 leader Texas.  First serve will be at 6:30pm from Gregory Gymnasium in Austin.  The Standard Plumbing, Heating & Air pregame show will be at 6:00 on kstatesports.com.  The match between the Wildcats and Longhorns can also be heard on a tape delayed basis on KMAN after Manhattan High’s playoff football game against Dodge City, which starts at 7:00pm.
