Streb officially becomes 3rd K-Stater to earn PGA Tour card

K-State alum Robert Streb officially secured his spot on the PGA Tour for the first time next season as the Web.com Tour slate came to an end on Sunday.  Streb finished 7th on the second-tier tour money list with $305, 591 in winnings this season.  The top 25 players on the Web.com money list automatically qualify for their PGA Tour Card.  Streb’s win at the Mylan Classic in Cannonsburg, PA on September 2nd essentially locked up his spot on the pro circuit.  In addition to his win, Streb had four other top five finishes, and nine total in the top ten.  He is the third Wildcat to earn his spot on the PGA Tour, as Jim Colbert and Aaron Watkins are the others.

The 2013 PGA Tour schedule has not yet been announced.
