    County Revenue Still Down

By KMAN Staff on September 18, 2014 Riley County

Riley County Commission 2013“There have been no mortgages over a million dollars in the past two months”.

This statement was said by Register of Deeds, Debbie Regester during Thursday’s Riley County Commission meeting.  Despite this concerning topic, she said there were four mortgages filed this month that totaled nearly two million dollars all together.

Regester reported that this year’s August numbers are down from 2013 August figures, however they have made up part of the gap from July.  In July, it was reported the county was $47,000 down from July of 2013, and in August-that deficit was only at $12,000.
