rcpdwebsiteAn arrest was made Thursday at approximately 7:00 PM after a previously unreported aggravated robbery was made known to police. The Riley County Police Department made the arrest for aggravated kidnapping, kidnapping, and aggravated robbery after an investigation into the matter led to probable cause.

Ortegas Tune, 26, of Manhattan was arrested for aggravated kidnapping, kidnapping, and aggravated robbery. His bond was set at $100,000. Other arrests are anticipated at this time.

While investigating two other robberies in the Manhattan area, detectives found that this third, however, previously unreported robbery had occurred in the 1300 block of Flint Hills Place in Manhattan. This incident involving 3 suspects took place on Wednesday after 12:00 AM. There were no injuries reported, however weapons were brandished. The additional suspects had their faces covered at the time of this incident and as a result have descriptions that are not specifically known. They are believed to be male.

Due to the nature of this crime and the current status of suspects involved, the victims’ identities are to be withheld.

This investigation is ongoing, and police ask that anyone with information please contact the RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crimestoppers. Tips can be submitted anonymously at www.ManhattanRileyCountyCrimeStoppers.com, and by using Crimestoppers, you become eligible for a cash award up to $1,000.
