With concerns voiced by Riley County Police at Thursday’s County Commission meeting about parties being held at a rural county venue, one of the owners of that property wants to clarify her business’ position.
Britt’s Farm co-owner Angela Britt tells KMAN the events being questioned aren’t actually run by Britt’s.She says they just rent out the space…and have nothing to do with any buses bringing people from K-State as mentioned at the County Commission meeting. Britt adds the contracts are set up way ahead of time.
Furthermore, Britt says she and her husband Richard are trying to work with the police, having spoken with them several times when they come out to the Farm.
As KMAN previously reported, Riley County Police officials attended the Riley County Commission Thursday, with concerns about numerous calls regarding parties at the Britt’s Farm venue, which rents out for events including parties. Captain Josh Kyle and Director Brad Schoen talked about reports of gunshots, underage drinking, and batteries. And specifically Captain Kyle informed the commission officers have attempted to speak with Britt’s Farm owners, but feel it’s become increasingly difficult.
