A search warrant conducted at 517 S. 15th Street in Manhattan, resulted in the seizure of illegal narcotics and a drug related arrest on Wednesday, July 15th. This search warrant was the culmination of a month long investigation conducted by the Riley County Police Department Special Investigation Unit and the RCPD Repeat Offender Program.

At approximately 1:45 PM Andre Quinton Jr., 32, of Manhattan was arrested for the offenses of distribution of a stimulant within 1,000 feet of a school, domestic battery, possession of opiates, opium, or narcotic drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia to grow or manufacture, possession of drug paraphernalia, and use or possession of a hallucinogenic drug.

Police seized and removed approximately 38.9 grams of methamphetamine from the community, worth an approximate street level value of $2,500.00.

Quinton was given a bond of $16,000.00 and at the time of this release remained confined at the Riley County Jail.

If you have information about the illegal distribution of narcotics in the Manhattan and Riley County area contact police or use the anonymous Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers service. Tipsters using the Crime Stoppers option can qualify for a $1,000.00 cash reward.
