“Hoo Haw” play returns to Wamego

If you’re looking for some entertainment, you might want to head to Wamego on August 13th.

The Columbian Theater will be producing the seventh edition of “Hoo Haw”, a spoof off of the television variety show “Hee Haw”.

Wamego Christian Health Ministry public relations director Rosemary Helms gives a preview of this year’s show….

“This play is written by Troy Hemphill, who isn’t a Wamegan,” Helms said. “He tries out his jokes on one of our best friends, which is always great fun.”

Tickets can be purchased through the ministry. The revenue made from ticket sales is distributed well beyond the borders of Pottawatomie County. The ministry’s CEO Deb Kiker explains.

“We help people in Idaho and New Mexico, mainly by shipping clothes and medical supplies,” Kiker said. “By shipping those things that are donated and given to us, we can help other people that we know are in need.”

If you’re interested in purchasing tickets, you can do so by visiting www.wamegocommunityhealthministry.org and clicking on “events”.
