A man accused in a 2020 shooting near Aggieville will stand trial this summer.

Travell Hairston appeared in Riley County District Court Monday for a status conference. Hairston is charged with attempted first-degree murder from a Feb. 2020 incident in the 1100 block of Laramie. He’s accused of firing several rounds at a 27-year-old male victim.

He also separately faces multiple charges of aggravated assault, stemming from a September 2019 house party where he allegedly fired a gun during a brawl.

Both cases are scheduled for a one-week trial, to begin July 24, with a pretrial conference scheduled for June 20.
