The Manhattan Senior Center celebrated its recent rebranding with a ribbon cutting ceremony Friday.

Center Director Liz Nelson cut the ribbon herself and explained how the center started off with a rather cumbersome name.

Nelson said as time progressed, they realized the name was in need of a refresh.

Despite the rebrand, Nelson said it is important for the community to understand that their mission and area of service has not changed.

Nelson also said the ribbon cutting is an important event to not only celebrate the change but to continue bringing awareness to the center and the services it offers.
