    Officers filed a report for theft and criminal damage to property in the 2000 block of Seaton Ave. in Manhattan on May 12, 2023, around 12:00 p.m. A 46-year-old man was listed as the victim when he reported his car’s catalytic converter was cut off and stolen. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $715.     Officers filed a report for theft in the 4800 block of Skyway Dr. in Manhattan on May 12, 2023, around 2:45 p.m. Grigg’s Auto Group Super Center was listed as the victim when it was reported a 27-year-old man and a 46-year-old woman leased a black 2014 Ford Fusion and did not return the car in an agreed time frame. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $17,000. Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers. Using Crime Stoppers allows you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

    Officers filed a report for theft in the 1200 block of Fremont St. in Manhattan on May 12, 2023, around 6:00 p.m. A 20-year-old man was listed as the victim when he reported his fishing poles and golf clubs had been stolen out of his truck parked at Sigma Chi fraternity. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $2,700. Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers. Using Crime Stoppers allows you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

    Michael Brooks, 30, of Manhattan was arrested on May 13, 2023, around 8:45 p.m. in the 1900 block of Crescent Dr. in Manhattan after it was reported he stole a 19-year-old man’s gun, then resisted arrest when officers were taking him into custody. Brooks was arrested for criminal possession of a firearm, theft, and interference with LEO. Brooks was issued a total bond of $8,000 and is no longer confined at the time of this report.

    Lance Rossi, 40, of Manhattan was arrested on May 13, 2023, around 10:45 p.m. in the 200 block of Parker Dr. in Manhattan during a traffic stop. Officers found Rossi to be intoxicated, in possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia, and driving a car that was not registered. While being placed under arrest, Rossi ran from officers for a short distance. Ultimately, Rossi was arrested for driving under the influence, interference with LEO, possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and no proof of insurance. Rossi was issued a total bond of $5,000 and is no longer confined at the time of this report.
