    K-State beats Texas Tech in four sets

    Four players reached double figures in kills as K-State defeated Texas Tech in four sets on Saturday afternoon at Ahearn Fieldhouse, 25-22, 25-18, 23-25, 25-21.  The Cats were led by 14 kills from Kaitlynn Pelger, Courtney Traxson had 13, Lilla Porubek chipped in with 12, and Alex Muff added 10.  Setter Caitlyn Donahue led K-State in two categories with 46 assists and 18 digs.  Texas Tech was led by Amanda Dowdy with 21 kills.

    K-State is now 19-10 overall and 8-7 in the Big 12.  The Cats will host KU on Wednesday night at 7:00pm at Ahearn Fieldhouse.  Coverage begins at 6:30 on SportsRadio 1350 KMAN.  K-State is ranked #26 in last week’s RPI, which put them in position for the NCAA Tournament.  The NCAA Selection Show is this Sunday at 6:00pm.
