Golf tourney for K-State fans to be held in Dallas

The K-State baseball facilities have undergone a serious overhaul in the past decade.  Most recently, a new playing surface was installed over this past offseason.  One of the last pieces still needed at Tointon Family Stadium is an upgrade of the sound system for in-house music and the public address announcer.  K-State baseball is holding a fundraising campaign to upgrade the sound system, and the Purple Invasion Golf Tournament will be held next week in Dallas-Fort Worth.  The tournament is open to all K-State fans headed for the Cotton Bowl, and will be held at Riverside Golf Club, located just minutes from Dallas Cowboys Stadium.

Tournament organizer Jay Kvasnicka says K-State head coach Brad Hill is behind the project to upgrade the sound system at Tointon Family Stadium.  The Purple Invasion Tournament will be held next Friday, the day of the Cotton Bowl.  Kvasnicka says Riverside Golf Club is an easy drive to the stadium.  The cost to play in the Purple Invasion Tournament is $65 per person, which includes green fees, cart with GPS, unlimited range balls, and tournament services.

The Purple Invasion Golf Tournament will be on Friday, January 6th at Riverside Golf Club in Dallas-Fort Worth.  To sign up or to make a donation, contact Jay Kvasnicka at 913-433-2307.  You can sign up as a foursome or as an individual.
