By KMAN Staff on January 18, 2012 High School Sports, Manhattan High School, Sports

M.J. Massanet scored 18 points despite missing all but two shots from the field, and the Manhattan High girls remained undefeated with a 49-31 victory at Highland Park.  Massanet connected on only two of nine attempts from the field, but drained 14 of 17 free throws.   Onyeka Ehie added 13 points for the Tribe.   Devyn (Devon) Edwards led Highland Park with 15 points, but MHS held Scots’ leading scorer Shanise Brooks to just 7 points.

The Tribe girls are now 8-0 and 6-0 in the Centennial League, while Highland Park dropped their second straight after winning their first eight games.

Manhattan High girls basketball is now off until next Thursday when they open the McPherson Tournament against Hays.  Tipoff is at 4:30 and coverage will be at 4:15 on SportsRadio 1350 KMAN.
